1 Dead in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Culebra Road and 36th Street

SAN ANTONIO, TX (March 30, 2023) – Wednesday morning, a man died in a fatal hit-and-run collision on Culebra Road and 36th Street.

The fatal collision happened just after midnight in the 3400 block of Culebra Road near Northwest 36th Street, not far from St. Mary’s University.

Reports revealed that a man tried to cross the street from south to north outside a crosswalk. However, a white pickup driving east hit him.

Police confirmed that the driver of the truck pulled over after the collision. However, the driver escaped but came back a short while later.

Then, the emergency crews declared the man dead at the scene.

Afterward, authorities arrested the truck driver for failing to stop and render aid-resulting in death, and refused to cooperate with officers.

Furthermore, the San Antonio Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department, and EMS all came to the crash scene.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
