1 Dead in Holbrook Auto Accident on Interstate 40 at Mile 273
HOLBROOK, CA (November 14, 2022) – Sunday afternoon, a person died in a head-on crash on Interstate 40 at Mile 273.
The incident happened on Interstate 40 at mile 273, 13 miles west of Holbrook.
According to the Department of Public Safety officials, a UPS truck crossed over from the westbound lanes. Then, it crashed head-on into a semi-truck traveling eastbound.
The crash ejected one person. Then, responders took the patient to the hospital in critical condition. However, that person later succumbed to injuries.
Meanwhile, authorities temporarily shut down Interstate 40 due to the crash.
Also, the freeway has since reopened.
