LANCASTER, CA (January 26, 2023) – Tuesday night, a person died in a hit-and-run crash near 10th Street West and Avenue J-4.
The incident happened at about 9:05 p.m. near 10th Street West and Avenue J-4.

“Preliminary investigation indicates that a male adult was walking on the roadway, outside a marked crosswalk, on 10th Street West south of Avenue J-4. A silver sedan traveling southbound on 10th Street West struck the pedestrian and fled the scene. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Los Angeles County Fire Department Paramedics,” reports said.

At this time, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed due to pending family notification.

Meanwhile, the authorities haven’t determined whether speed, alcohol, or drugs played a role in the crash.
