Fatal Wildomar Auto Collision on 15 Freeway

 
WILDOMAR, CA (March 12, 2020) – A 63-year-old male resident of Wildomar was killed in a car accident on March 10 on the 15 Freeway.
 
The CHP reported that he lost control of his SUV due to the rain-slicked road. Authorities received reports at 11:17 a.m., on the 15 Freeway onramp at Bundy Canyon Road.
 
According to officers, the driver was traveling south on the highway in the slow lane. There, his 2017 Toyota Highlander veered to the right and drove across the shoulder before going down an embankment.
 
The vehicle began to roll over several times before coming to a stop in the eastbound lanes. Emergency personnel located the totaled vehicle near Bundy Canyon Road upon arrival.
 
A coroner was requested to the area shortly after the collision.
 
The crash was a single-vehicle accident. Additionally, the identity of the deceased victim remains unreleased as of this time.
 
Meanwhile, crews added that the collision partially shut down Bundy Canyon Road until it was cleared and officers finalized the preliminary investigation.
 
The closed roads on 15 Freeway later reopened to traffic after multiple hours.
