CUESTA GRADE, CA (April 4, 2022) – Sunday morning, a person died in an auto accident on Highway 101 near Reservoir Canyon Road.
 
The incident happened just after 9:45 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Highway 101 near Reservoir Canyon Rd.
 
According to officers, a Nissan with one passenger headed southbound down the Cuesta Grade. Then, the vehicle lost control and spun several times in the southbound lanes. Afterward, it crossed into the northbound lanes where it crashed with a Ford Fusion.
 
As a result of the crash, one person died at the scene.
 
Due to the limited information available, the cause of the crash remains under active investigation.
