1 Killed, 3 Injured in BPD VS Honda Crash on Muller Road [Bakersfield, CA]

34-Year-Old Ana Hernandez Critical after Crash on Muller Road in Bakersfield

Bakersfield, CA (January 19, 2023)—Early Thursday morning, a male driver died and three others, including two policemen, sustained injuries in a crash on Muller Road.

The fatal crash in Bakersfield happened around 2:30 a.m. on January 19.

CHP said the collision involved a 2013 Honda Accord and a 2016 Ford Taurus BPD patrol car. 

The two vehicles collided at the intersection of Muller Road and South Vineland Road.

As a result, the Honda driver died at the scene while the passenger, 34-year-old Ana Hernandez, sustained major injuries and was taken to Kern Medical Center via helicopter.

Meanwhile, the two BPD officers ages 23 & 24 sustained minor to moderate injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital.

Further investigation to determine the circumstances of this crash is ongoing.
