2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 94 in Campo Leaves 1 Dead and 3 Others in Critical Condition
CAMPO, CA (June 28, 2019) – One person was killed and three others were airlifted following a two-vehicle crash Friday night in Campo.
The crash happened just before 7:00 p.m. on Highway 94, also known as Campo Road, at Sheridan Road.
According to reports, a Kia sedan collided with an older-model work pickup truck. One person was apparently trapped in one of the vehicles, and at least one of two dogs involved was injured.
Firefighters and paramedics were treating four patients at the scene, but one of them did not survive and was declared dead.
The three others were eventually flown to nearby hospitals in critical condition.
Campo Road was shut down in both directions and time crews were operating one-way traffic control. The roadway was reopened about 11:05 p.m.
No identifying information is being released at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
