1 Killed, 2 Injured in Car Crash on Garey Avenue [Pomona, CA]

1 Dead and 2 Hurt in Pomona Car Crash

 
POMONA, CA (February 20, 2020) – One person died while two others suffered injuries in a car crash on Garey Avenue.
 
The incident on February 18 was reported just before 2 a.m. in the 2000 block of North Garey Avenue, the Pomona Police Department revealed.
 
The detectives believe that the vehicle hit a concrete divider while speeding. The car then rolled over and crashed into a tree.
 
The crash on Garey Avenue ejected one passenger while the two others were stuck inside the car.
 
The Los Angeles County firefighters responded and extricated the trapped victims. However, one of them succumbed to his injuries.
 
Meanwhile, responders took the two other victims to the hospital in critical condition. Their identity remains unreleased as of this time.
 
It’s also not clarified whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
Authorities shut down Garey Avenue in both directions during the investigation.
