Man Dies after Solo-Car Rollover Accident near South Wilmington Avenue
CARSON, CA (August 3, 2018) – A man was killed Friday afternoon, following a single-car crash on East Sepulveda Boulevard. The deceased victim’s name and place of residence were not released, pending notification of family.
As per reports, the incident took place at about 3:00 PM in the 1500 block of East Sepulveda Boulevard, near South Wilmington Avenue. Firefighters with the Los Angeles County Fire Department were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports regarding an overturned vehicle.
Deputies with the Carson Sheriff’s Station also arrived at the crash site to investigate.
A male occupant, who was ejected from the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers. The other occupant was found trapped inside the wrecked car and was transported to a hospital with minor injuries. Their identities and cities of residence were not immediately available.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the events that led to the fatal crash and to identify possible contributing factors. No additional information has been disclosed to the public at this time.
