1 Dead and 1 Hurt in Castro Valley Car Crash on Redwood Road

 
CASTRO VALLEY, CA (June 1, 2020) – A person died while another suffered injuries in an auto crash on Redwood Road on the weekend.
 
According to reports, firefighters responded to Anthony Chabot Regional Park to aid an injured cyclist. However, they found out that a vehicle went over a nearby ravine. The said collision caused one fatality and left one person with injuries.
 
Then, the vehicle drove off Redwood Road and fell down the 400-foot ravine. The vehicle then landed on a hiking trail near Bort Meadow Road and Upper San Leandro Reservoir.
 
The Alameda County Fire Department revealed that they discovered the incident around 9:00 a.m.
 
Meanwhile, the identity of the deceased and the injured remains unreleased at this time. Moreover, the police dispatched a California Highway Patrol helicopter to take the injured individual to the hospital.
