One Person Dies after Head-On Crash on State Route 49 in Grass Valley

Grass Valley, CA (January 16, 2023) – Tuesday evening, one person died and another sustained critical injuries in a head-on crash on State Route 49 and La Barr Meadows Road.

The fatal head-on crash in Grass Valley happened just after 5:45 p.m. on January 17.

CHP said that one person was pronounced dead while the other person was taken to the hospital.

No additional information is immediately available.
