Man Hospitalized after DUI Hit-And-Run Crash on Eaton and Esplanade in Chico

 
Chico, CA (May 6, 2021) – Friday afternoon, a man sustained injuries after a hit-and-run crash on Eaton and Esplanade.
 
Subsequently, police arrested the driver involved for suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run.
 
According to Chico Police, a black Jeep hit a white SUV at the intersection of Eaton and Esplanade, and fled from the scene at around 2 p.m.
 
Emergency crews took the SUV driver to a hospital with unknown injuries.
 
Meanwhile, police eventually found the driver and located the jeep in the parking lot of Eaton Village apartments.
 
He was taken to jail for suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run.
