1 Person Hospitalized After Crash on Interstate 15 in Victorville

Victorville, CA (November 12, 2024) – One person sustained injuries in a crash on Interstate 15.

A collision between a sedan and a box truck on the southbound I-15 freeway injured one person Tuesday afternoon in Victorville.

The crash occurred around 3:40 p.m. on November 12, 2024, just south of Bear Valley Road. A gray Chevy Impala collided with a 30-foot box truck owned by HD Supply.

The impact caused the box truck to crash into the guardrail and stop sideways on the freeway, while the Chevy ended up in a drainage ditch, with its driver’s side trapped beneath the rear of the truck.

Firefighters from the Victorville City Fire Department arrived at the scene and extricated the Chevy’s driver, who was then transported by ground ambulance to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The collision has blocked the no. 3 lane, and tow trucks have been dispatched to clear the scene. 

Motorists on the southbound I-15 should anticipate delays until the area is fully cleared.

The California Highway Patrol’s Victorville station is actively investigating the cause of the crash.
