1 Hospitalized after Solo-Vehicle Collision in Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, CA (March 18, 2020) – An unidentified female sustained injuries in a rollover crash on Alamar Avenue on Sunday, March 15.

The incident happened around 10:15 p.m., in the 300 block of West Alamar Avenue, Santa Barbara Police revealed. Dispatchers arrived shortly after.

Upon the crew’s arrival, they located an SUV on its side. They also noted that the driver was stuck inside, prompting firefighters to free her from the vehicle.

According to reports, the female driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle. An American Medical Response ambulance transported her to nearby Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for further treatment.

Meanwhile, the driver’s identity and details regarding her current condition remain unavailable as of this time.

Emergency personnel also added that the woman had struck one or more parked cars before their arrival. The impact consequently led the SUV to overturn and land on its side.

Officers say the parking on both sides of the road makes West Alamar Avenue a narrow street to drive on. No further information has been released to the public at this time.

The Santa Barbara Police are still currently investigating the collision.
