One Person Hospitalized After Plane Accident in Boulder City
BOULDER CITY, NV (May 7, 2019) – On Tuesday just after 4:00 PM, one person was injured in a plane crash near Boulder City Municipal Airport.
According to Boulder City spokeswoman Lisa LaPlante, there was a plane crash near Boulder City Municipal Airport.
The Federal Aviation Administration stated the plane was a single-engine Flight Design CTLS. The agency says the flight took off from the airport about 15 minutes before the accident. In addition, they state the crash happened about 1 mile short of the runway.
First responders arrived at the scene shortly after. One person was not injured. However, paramedics transported the other occupant to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas for further treatment. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have not publicly identified the victims at this time. In addition, The National Transportation Safety Board is still currently investigating the matter.
