Woman Hospitalized after Reno Pedestrian Accident
RENO, NV (August 13, 2019) – A woman suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident on Lear Boulevard on August 9.
A driver struck the woman while standing in the median just before 9:00 p.m.
According to police, an eastbound vehicle on Lear Boulevard struck a woman in the median with her child. The Reno Police Department clarified that the woman was not in the crosswalk.
The responders transported the woman to a hospital for treatment. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Luckily, her child didn’t sustain any injury.
Authorities believe that alcohol placed a role. Hence, they detained the driver.
The incident caused the closure of Lear Boulevard from Kernite Street to Malachite Court but has since reopened.
