Motorist Airlifted after Multi-Vehicle Collision in Lake Elsinore

LAKE ELSINORE, CA (January 24, 2019) – A person was hurt in a multi-vehicle collision involving two motorcycles, an SUV, and a sedan in Lake Elsinore. The Riverside County Fire Department confirmed that the person was airlifted to a hospital because of severe injuries.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened on Sunday at around 2:16 p.m. on Highway 74 in the Santa Ana Mountains. Someone who was at the location of the incident said that a motorcycle hit an SUV head-on prior to striking the other vehicles which also include another motorcycle.

The lanes on Ortega Highway were temporarily closed as per CalTrans. All lanes were reopened at around 4:55 p.m.
