NEWHALL, CA (December 1, 2024) – Friday night, a startling pedestrian crash on 9th Street and Main Street injured 1 person.
The incident happened on 9th Street and Main Street.
A pedestrian was injured and taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Newhall on Friday night, according to officials.
Los Angeles County Fire Department firefighters and Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s deputies responded to the incident at 9th Street and Main Street. A man was found on the street with a head injury and was reported to be “bleeding from the head,” according to a 9-1-1 caller, said Sgt. Sherry Clark from the SCV Sheriff’s Station.
The caller reported hearing a loud crash before notifying authorities around 10:56 p.m. Firefighters arrived at the scene at 11 p.m. and transported the man to Henry Mayo in an unknown condition, said Supervising Fire Dispatcher Nicole Larios.
Deputies are investigating the incident as a potential hit-and-run, but no vehicle description was available, and information remains limited. No additional injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made as of this report.
