Woman Hospitalized After Crash on Lone Elm Road in Jasper County
Jasper County, Mo (January 1, 2025) – A 33-year-old woman from Joplin sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Lone Elm Road.
Around 2 p.m. on Monday, reports of a crash at the four-way stop at Lone Elm Road and Fountain Road alerted E-911.
Carl Junction Fire, Jasper County Deputies, and METS responded to the scene, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified.
A 16-year-old from Carl Junction, Missouri, driving a 2015 Chevy Tahoe, failed to yield to a motorcycle. The collision involved a 33-year-old woman from Joplin, Missouri, riding a 2009 Harley Davidson Street Glide.
She sustained serious injuries and was transported to Freeman West Hospital. Later, she was transferred to Springfield for advanced medical care.
The Harley became lodged under the front of the Tahoe. Rosenberg Towing removed the motorcycle and debris from the scene, while the Tahoe was driven away.
