TEMPE, AZ (April 10, 2025) – Wednesday afternoon, an alarming car crash near McClintock Drive and Bell De Mar Drive injured 1 person.

The crash occurred at about 2:00 p.m. outside the Elevate at Discovery Park apartments near McClintock Drive and Bell De Mar Drive, south of Guadalupe Road.

Authorities say a two-vehicle crash led to one of the vehicles slamming into a building. One driver was transported to the hospital, though their current condition has not been released.

Reports said that an SUV was lodged into the patio of a ground-floor apartment, while a yellow car had part of its front bumper stuck in the apartment complex sign.

Police noted that the traffic lights at the intersection are currently out, and drivers are advised to proceed cautiously or avoid the area altogether.

Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the collision.
