SAN JOSE, CA (February 20, 2025) – Wednesday afternoon, a crippling pedestrian crash on N 1st Street and E Mission Street injured 1.

The incident occurred at about 4:16 p.m. in the area of N 1st Street and E Mission Street.

According to San Jose Police, a vehicle struck and injured a pedestrian.

San Jose police reported that a pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital.

Following the incident, southbound lanes of First Street were closed between Hedding Street and Mission Street.

By 8 p.m., authorities reopened the roadway. While the pedestrian’s condition has been stabilized, they remain in critical condition, according to SJPD.
