1 Hospitalized in San Francisco Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 101 near Cesar Chavez Street
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (February 2, 2023) – Tuesday morning, a person sustained injuries in a chain-reaction crash on Highway 101 near Cesar Chavez Street.
The incident happened at around 6:49 a.m. on southbound U.S. 101 Highway, south of the Cesar Chavez Street offramp.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident that involved a total of 19 cars in 6 different crashes started as traffic slowed down and the first collision occurred.
Moreover, paramedics transported one person to San Francisco General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Furthermore, the incident closed multiple lanes of the highway but has long since reopened.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
