1 Injured in Collision Near El Sobrante [Contra Costa County, CA]

Injury Reported in Contra Costa County Traffic Accident

Contra Costa County, CA (March 2, 2024) – At least one person sustained injuries following a traffic collision near El Sobrante late Wednesday.

Officers said a pair of suspected thieves were on the run after a robbery at a Taco Bell in Lafayette. 

Taco Bell manager Josue Cambrano said a man tried to buy food but he only had $3. So the staff gave him a glass of water but the man tried to get money from Taco Bell.

Cambrano added the man was wearing a face mask, and a hoodie and was possibly armed with a gun while a female driver stayed in their vehicle.

Officers said the robbers caused a collision while trying to escape. Several vehicles including a patrol car were involved in the collision. 

The rescuers loaded at least one person into an ambulance.

Taco Bell employees were relieved that the robbers responsible for holding up the restaurant may have been arrested.
