1 Injured in Car Collision on 15 Freeway and Temescal Canyon Road [Corona, CA]

1 Hurt in Corona Car Accident

 
CORONA, CA (May 6, 2019) – A person sustained injuries in a car collision on 15 Freeway south of Corona on May 1.
 
The collision caused one of the vehicles to roll over, injuring the driver and partially closing the freeway. The incident occurred around 4:00 p.m. northbound 15 Freeway, just north of Temescal Canyon Road.
 
The crash involving a dark-colored sedan and a red SUV began when one of the drivers tried to merge into an occupied lane. Hence, resulting in the overturning of the smaller vehicle in the No. 3 lane.
 
The SUV reportedly stopped in the center divider with minor damage.
 
Meanwhile, some helpful motorists stopped and helped free the occupant from the wreckage. The good Samaritans released him before the Riverside County and Corona Fire Department crews’ arrival.
 
Furthermore, the victim sustained major injuries and medics transported him to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar.
 
The SUV occupants did not suffer any injury.
 
The crash stalled the traffic on northbound Freeway 15. At 4:25 p.m., authorities issued a SigAlert, warning of major slowing through the area.
