1 Hurt in Eureka Car Accident

 
EUREKA, CA (September 25, 2019) – A person sustained injuries in a two-vehicle car accident on 4th Street on September 23.
 
The incident occurred just before 1:00 p.m. on 4th Street and R Street. Some witnesses revealed that a westbound Dodge van ran a red light on 4th Street. The van then hit a southbound Subaru SUV on R Street, leaving the SUV to land on its side.
 
The SUV’s male driver didn’t suffer any injury. Meanwhile, the van driver sustained injuries.
 
The incident shut down one lane of 4th Street for around 45 minutes.
 
The Eureka Police, Humboldt Bay Fire and City Ambulance all came to the scene.
 
Staying within the lanes of the road is an extremely important rule of the road.
