Injuries Reported in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on State Route 76 near Canyon Drive
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 1, 2025) – Monday night, a woman sustained injuries in an alarming pedestrian crash on State Route 76 near Canyon Drive.
The incident happened at 7:11 p.m. on State Route 76 near Canyon Drive.
Reports said the 47-year-old pedestrian from San Diego was walking on the fog line when she was struck by a 2013 Freightliner truck tractor traveling eastbound, according to an OPD statement.
She was flown to Scripps Hospital, where she underwent surgery and was listed in critical condition Tuesday morning, the statement said.
The truck’s driver, a 30-year-old man from Lynwood, remained at the scene and cooperated with officers, the OPD statement added.
