1 Hurt in Clairemont Multi-Vehicle Accident

 
CLAIREMONT, CA (January 16, 2020) – A person sustained injuries while another got arrested in a DUI multi-vehicle accident on Balboa Avenue.
 
The incident happened before 1:00 p.m. when a 59-year-old driver of a 2019 Nissan Frontier lost control on Balboa Avenue near Lindbergh Neighborhood Park.
 
The westbound pickup truck hit a raised center median at Charger Boulevard. It then drove across the eastbound side of the street and crashed into an oncoming 2014 Jeep Patriot driven by a 33-year-old woman. The Patriot then hit a 2017 Honda Civic and a 2015 Jeep Cherokee, Officer John Buttle revealed.
 
Medical responders transported the Patriot driver to a hospital for treatment of a broken thighbone and evaluated a passenger in her vehicle for complaints of pain. The other three drivers didn’t suffer any injury.
 
Meanwhile, authorities arrested the Frontier driver on suspicion of DUI. His identity remains unavailable as of this time.
