One Person Killed and Another Injured in Crash on 101 Freeway Near Laurel Canyon Boulevard

 
Los Angeles, CA (July 9, 2020) – On Monday, 1 person died and another sustained injuries in a crash on the 101 Freeway in North Hollywood.
 
The incident happened at about 5:12 a.m. near Laurel Canyon Boulevard.
 
The authorities found a parked BMW on the freeway with one person inside. Police are not sure if the BMW’s lights were on when it was hit by another vehicle. Furthermore, they found its driver severely injured.
 
Moreover, it is also not clear if the driver of the second vehicle applied brakes before the crash happened.
 
Meanwhile, it is unknown if the deceased died at the scene or a hospital.
 
Police closed all westbound lanes in the immediate aftermath of the collision, but No. 5 lane, as well as all eastbound lanes, were reopened shortly after 6 AM.
