1 Dead in Mountlake Motorcycle Crash on 212th Street SW and 44th Avenue W
MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, WA (March 29, 2023) – Wednesday, a person died in a tragic motorcycle accident on 212th Street SW.
The incident happened at the intersection of 212th Street SW and 44th Avenue W.
According to reports, a 32-year-old man traveled west on 212th Street SW. Then, he attempted to beat a red light.
Then, he drove through the intersection at 44th Avenue W, Mountlake Terrace police Chief Pete Caw confirmed.
After the light switched, an eastbound SUV on 212th Street SW crashed into the motorcycle as the car made the turn onto 44th Avenue W.
Responders declared the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
Police confirmed that the car had the right of way when making the turn.
Also, officers confirmed that the driver of the SUV appeared to be intoxicated.
Thus, authorities arrested her for investigation of driving under the influence and reckless endangerment. Afterward, officers booked her into the Snohomish County Jail.
