Meliton Gutierrez Identified as Fatality in Merced County Accident

MERCED COUNTY, CA (October 6, 2021) – Tuesday morning, Meliton Gutierrez, 19, of Atwater died in a rollover crash on Westside Boulevard and Sultana Drive.

According to authorities, the accident happened at around 4:00 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on Westside Boulevard and Sultana Drive.

Reports revealed that a speeding westbound vehicle veered to the right onto the north dirt shoulder. Then, it rolled over multiple times before colliding with a tree. The force of the crash ejected the 18-year-old driver and a passenger, Gutierrez, from the vehicle.
