Three People Injured after Fiery Crash on Interstate 10 in Benson
Benson, AZ (March 29, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, one person died, and three others sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 10.
The fatal crash on Interstate 10 in Benson happened around 1:22 p.m. on March 29.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety responded to eastbound I-10 between East Dragoon Rd and the Texas Canyon Rest Stop.
Reportedly, the collision involved two vehicles. The first car got off the roadway, struck some rocks, went down an embankment, and caught fire completely.
Moreover, the second vehicle’s occupants remain uninjured.
One person died while three others sustained unknown injuries.
The crash unfortunately caused a wildfire. In an update from the Arizona Department of Forestry, the blaze is 50 percent contained and has grown to 455 acres as of March 30 at 9:45 a.m.
