1 Dead in DUI Crash on Ming Avenue [Bakersfield, CA]

Bakersfield, CA (January 3, 2024) – A person was killed and others were injured following a DUI crash on Ming Avenue early New Year’s Day.

It was around 1:10 a.m. when the fatal collision happened in southwest Bakersfield.

Troopers said a westbound Hyundai sedan.

Two men and two women were in the vehicle during that time.

A man was declared deceased at the crash scene while the remaining occupants were rushed to a hospital in critical condition.

Responding officers closed the roadway in all directions until around 5 a.m..
