MALIBU, CA (November 15, 2022) – Monday afternoon, a person died in a rollover crash on Pacific Coast Highway near Kanan Dume Road.
 
The incident happened on Pacific Coast Highway near Kanan Dume Road.
 
According to reports, a vehicle struck multiple warning markers in the center median of the roadway and continued traveling down an incline at a high rate of speed. Then, the vehicle struck a pickup truck, which in turn spun out of control and collided with a motorcycle that was stationary and was waiting to make a left turn at the intersection. Also, the causing vehicle, a Lexus, struck a 30-foot-high embankment and rolled over. Moments later, the Lexus erupted into flames after bystanders managed to extricate the driver from the wreckage.
 
Moreover, officials confirmed that the Lexus driver was rushed to a hospital and was later pronounced dead.
 
Furthermore, the incident blocked PCH and southbound Kanan Dume.
 
Meanwhile, the fatal crash remained under investigation.
