GARLAND, TX (February 5, 2023) – Friday morning, a person died in a crash on Lyndon B Johnson Freeway and Jupiter Road.
 
The incident happened at around 1:30 a.m. on the westbound Lyndon B Johnson Freeway at Jupiter Road.
 
According to reports, an oncoming semi-truck attempted to brake, jackknifed and struck two Good Samaritans who were directing traffic after an earlier accident.
 
Moreover, officials confirmed that one person died at the scene and another was transported to a hospital with critical injuries. Also, the truck driver and another person from the earlier crash were taken to a hospital for treatment.
