1 Killed in Central Valley Car Collision on Washington Avenue
CENTRAL VALLEY, NV (July 10, 2019) – A driver died while five others went to the hospital after a car collision on Washington Avenue on July 7.
The juvenile patients, ages 2, 4, 9 and 10, sustained injuries and remained under observation at University Medical Center, where the 56-year-old Las Vegas woman succumbed to death.
The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. on Washington Avenue, east of Decatur Boulevard.
According to police, a speeding westbound 2007 Toyota Camry veered off the road. It then struck pummel cones and barricades, ending up in a construction zone, where it crashed into a work pickup truck.
A truck’s tire detached from the crash and hit a pedestrian on a sidewalk. He also received treatment from UMC.
Unfortunately, the vehicle continued heading west, rotating along the way, and then crashed onto a large pile of the grave. The Camry then hit a heavy equipment machine.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the collision.
