1 Killed and 2 Hurt in Pacifica Car Crash on Highway 1

 
PACIFICA, CA (January 17, 2020) – A man died while two people sustained injuries in a wrong-way car crash on Highway 1 on January 16.
 
According to CHP, the incident occurred around 3:14 a.m. on Highway 1 near Manor Drive.
 
Officer Bert Diaz also said that a man between 25-35 years old driving a Dodger Charger approached state Highway 1 going north in the southbound lanes. It then hit a 40-50 years old man driving a Mercedes SUV.
 
The Dodger driver died at the scene. Meanwhile, responders transported the Mercedes driver to a hospital with unknown injuries. They also took a female Dodger occupant between 25-35 years old to a hospital with unknown injuries.
 
Authorities shut down the southbound lanes of State Highway 1 while they diverted traffic to state Highway 35.
