ARCADIA, CA (February 23, 2021) – On Sunday night, a person died in a single-vehicle crash on Las Tunas Drive and El Monte Avenue.
 
According to Arcadia Police Department, the incident occurred at around 11:30 p.m. Moreover, it happened in the area of Las Tunas Drive and El Monte Avenue.
 
Reports revealed that the eastbound vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed lost control. Then, it struck two power poles and a flood control fence.
 
Meanwhile, responders pronounced the driver dead at the scene. Also, paramedics transported two passengers of the vehicle to a hospital with minor injuries.
 
On the other hand, the authorities closed all eastbound lanes of Las Tunas Drive between El Monte Avenue and Santa Anita Avenue to give way to the investigation.
 
Also, Southern California Edison responded to the scene to repair the damaged power poles.
