1 Pronounced Dead and 2 Hospitalized after Los Angeles Auto Accident near 52nd Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 4, 2020) – Early Friday morning, one person died, while two others were hospitalized after a car crashed into the homeless encampment on Flower Street.
The incident occurred just before 3:00 a.m., on Flower Street and 52nd Street. Emergency personnel arrived to the area shortly after.
According to reports, a sedan rammed through a homeless encampment in South Los Angeles. Then, the vehicle proceeded to strike a light pole.
Multiple victims were found under a large amount of debris. Due to the impact of the collision, authorities later pronounced one person dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, medical responders transported two others to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Moreover, Los Angeles Police later detained one unidentified person who was found inside the car.
