1 Killed and 1 Hurt in Los Angeles Pedestrian Accident on Golden State Freeway and Pasadena Avenue

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 5, 2021) – On Friday night, a person died while another one sustained injuries in a pedestrian crash on Golden State Freeway and Pasadena Avenue.
 
According to California Highway Patrol Officer J. Jimenez, the incident happened at around 11:08 p.m. It occurred on the northbound Golden State Freeway in the Cypress Park area just south of Pasadena Avenue.
 
According to reports, a 2020 Mercedes CLS450 driven by a 30-year-old Northridge man struck the pedestrian who crossed into the path of the vehicle.
 
Responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. The victim’s identity remains undisclosed due to pending family notification.
 
Furthermore, paramedics transported a 29-year-old Glendale woman, a passenger on the involved vehicle, to USC Medical Center. Reports revealed that she sustained lacerations to her face and hands.
 
The incident is under active investigation.
