43-Year-Old Man Dead and 37-Year-Old woman Injured in Fatal Car Accident in Western Las Vegas Valley
Las Vegas, NV (March 8, 2020) – One pedestrian died while the other sustained injuries in a fatal car accident near Durango Drive and Twain Avenue on Sunday evening, March 7.
According to the Metropolitan Police release, the two pedestrians were crossing Durango Drive from the west “outside of marked crosswalk,” while a 2018 Dodge Ram simultaneously traveled northbound.
One of the pedestrians, a 43-year old man, was struck and thrown east of the road into the desert area. He was confirmed dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the 37-year old female pedestrian was struck by the left side mirror and knocked into the roadway. Paramedics took her to the University Medical Center for immediate treatment.
Moreover, the 60-year old driver remained at the crash scene and did not show any signs of impairment.
Authorities have yet to conclude what was the cause of the accident. Identities remain unreleased.
This case is still an on-going investigation.
