One Critically Injured after Two-Car Crash in Deer Creek Road

Pacific Coast Highway, CA (June 11, 2020)– On Thursday afternoon, one unidentified individual sustained critical injuries in a two-car crash in Deer Creek Road along northbound Highway 1.

The crash happened at 2:48 p.m. on June 11. Dispatched officers arrived and located two vehicles on the scene.

Reportedly, two vehicles involved in the collision. Paramedics aided one person and transported to Ventura County Medical Center via ambulance.

Police closed the surrounding area due to the wreckage and for further investigation. It has since reopened.

Crash rates in California continue to increase, rather than decrease, despite the additional safety features on newer vehicle models. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), two out of three motorists will be involved in an injury accident during their life. Though we don’t want this to happen, it is still vital to know when to proceed if you or a family member is involved in a similar car accident.

It is also recommended to use a ride share app if you can’t safely operate a vehicle to avoid this kind of accident.

What to do after an Auto Accident

  • Before anything else, seek medical attention if you have been hurt.
  • Get to a safe place to prevent further damage or injury.
  • Collect as much information as possible: insurance and contact information of people involved in the accident, pictures/videos of vehicles involved, etc.
  • File a police report or incident report by calling 911.
  • Hire an experienced personal injury attorney from Sweet Lawyers.
  • The most valuable step you can take in response to a vehicle crash is hiring a personal injury attorney. Mark Sweet, a personal injury attorney at Sweet Lawyers, says that serious car accident cases may call for a separate investigation spearheaded by an experienced lawyer fighting on behalf of the injured party.
