VANCOUVER, WA (February 5, 2020) – A person is in critical condition following a car and motorcycle collision on 164th Street.
 
On February 2, a motorcycle rider crashed with a vehicle at around 2:45 p.m. on Southeast 164th Avenue and 15th Street.
 
The 38-year-old male motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and required hospitalization.
 
According to initial reports, the rider traveled south on the avenue at a high rate of speed. When he attempted to stop for a red light, he lost control and crashed with a westbound car.
 
Authorities shut down the intersection while crews worked at the scene.
 
The crash remains under investigation.
